Objectives of Swami Vivekananda Scholarship (SVMCM)

Swami Vivekananda Scholarship has been Started in the State because there are many families who cannot afford to Send their Children due to poor Financial Situations. So through this Swami Vivekananda Scholarship, Students from financially weak Families are able to Pursue their Higher Education. Swami Vivekananda Scholarship in West Bengal State will help Eligible Students continue their education and they will be able to overcome their Financial weaknesses in the Future.

Swami Vivekananda Scholarship Eligibility

Swami Vivekananda Scholarship Scheme has been imposed for the Poor families of the State who want to continue their Studies. As per this Scheme, Students from 9th to 12th Class, Graduate & Post Graduate are able to Apply for this. This Scholarship Program will help all the Poor Students for Getting Good Education by overcoming their Financial Burden. All the Student Who want to Apply for this Scholarship need to Follow these Eligibility Criteria For Swami Vivekananda Scholarship:

The Applicant needs to be a resident of West Bengal State.
Applicants need to be pursuing studies at the Post-Madhyamik Level and onwards at an Educational institute in West Bengal after passing out from a state board, the council of secondary/higher secondary, Madrasah education, or a state university.
Institutes need to be located in the West Bengal State.
The Family Income needs to be at least INR 2.5 Lakh.

Swami Vivekananda Scholarship Educational Criteria

For Higher Secondary Level of studies (Class 11^th or its equivalent): Candidates need to have passed Madhyamik Pariksha or equivalent examination with 75% in aggregate.
For Diploma (Polytechnic) Level: Candidates need to have passed out Madhyamik Pariksha or equivalent examination for 1st Year Diploma courses. Candidates need to have passed out higher secondary examination or equivalent for 2-years diploma in –Modern Office Practice and Management, Pharmacy, 3-D Animation & Graphics with 75% in aggregate.
For Undergraduate courses: Candidates need to have qualified for higher secondary examination or equivalent with 75% in aggregate.
For Postgraduate courses: Honors subjects at graduation level with 53% in aggregate and Honors in Engineering subjects at graduation level with 55% in aggregate.
For Kanyashree applicants (K-3 component): Students need to be in receipt of a valid sanctioned K-2 students must be pursuing a PG course in Arts, Science, and Commerce & Students must have passed graduation with 45% in aggregate.
For M.Phil./ Non-NET/NET-LS Research Fellow: The students enrolled for a Ph.D. or M.Phil. program at a state-aided institution can apply.
