The National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Examination (NIFT 2020) is organized for offering admission to the students who are interested in designing field. The selected candidates will get the opportunity to get admission into various courses of designing such as Bachelors of Design, Bachelors of Fashion Technology, Master of Fashion Management, Master of Fashion Technology, Master of Design, among many to the NIFT institution. NIFT 2020: Application Form
The Online Registration procedure of NIFT 2020 has started from 23rd October 2019 and was ended on 31st December 2019. The application form for NIFT 2020 was released online at the official online portal. Candidates were asked to successfully fill the form with correct information otherwise the form will be rejected. The application or registration process was ended after the payment was done successfully. Those applicants who made mistake while filling the application form were also given a chance for the correction after the application correction window was opened which started on 1st January 2019.
Eligibility Criteria
As far as the age is concerned for applying to NIFT 2020 UG Programmes, the upper age limit is 23 as on October 1, 2019. On the other hand, the candidates of ST/SC, the age relaxation is of 5 years, however, there is no upper or lower age limit for the applicants of PG Admissions. Minimum qualification of candidates must be that they should have passed his/her 10+2 level degree from a recognized board or university. For B.F.Tech (Apparel Production), an applicant should have qualified with the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. For the M.F.Tech Programme, the applicants must have done their Bachelor’s degree in F.Tech from NIFT or else they must have qualified B.Tech/B.E from a recognized institute or university.

Exam Pattern
The examination of NIFT 2020 exam has been organized through Pen and Paper/ offline mode having multiple-choice questions. For various programmes the number of questions, as well as the timings, was different. The exam paper includes several sections such as Quantitative Ability, Analytical, Communication Ability, English Comprehension, Current Affairs as well as General Knowledge. There was no negative marking for wrong answers and candidates can answer the questions in English & Hindi languages.
Syllabus
The Syllabus of NIFT 2020 is going to include many topics from the sections of Quantitative Ability, Communication Ability, Analytical and Logical Ability, Current Affairs, English Comprehension, and General Knowledge to test your basic knowledge. Preparation Tips
As you get limited time to complete the question paper, therefore, you must focus on improving your speed with the help of solving sample paper or previous year question paper. Note down all the important points and concepts at one notebook and revise all these few days before the examination. Answer Key
After the examination was held on 19th January 2020, the authorities released the NIFT 2020 answer keys on 22nd January 2020. The answer keys of NIFT 2020 include all the correct answers to the questions that were asked on the NIFT 2020 question paper. The candidates were also asked to raise the objection till 24th January 2020, if they had any.
Cut-Off Marks
The NIFT 2020 Cut-Off Marks consist of the qualifying marks that the candidates who appeared in the entrance examination of the same should secure. If they had failed to score equal or more than the cut-off marks then they were not allowed to go to the further rounds of the admission process to NIFT institution.
Application Fee
The Application Fee of NIFT 2020 is going to be different for various categories. For the General/OBC-NCL candidates, the fee would be Rs. 2000 while for the SC/ST and PwD candidates the fee is going to be Rs.1000. The application fee is going to be paid online through debit/credit card/net banking. Candidates can also go for the offline payment through demand draft.
Admit Card
The admit card of NIFT 2020 was released on 10th January 2020 nine days before the examination days. The admit card includes the details about the candidate such as their name, roll number, exam centre, exam date, candidate’s photos & signature, among many details. Without admit card candidates are not allowed to enter the examination centre.
Result Announcement
The NIFT 2020 result has been announced after the authorities conducted General ability test, creative ability test as well as interview and declare the final result online on 13th March 2020. The candidates who have qualified NIFT 2020 will get a chance to get admission in several campuses of NIFT located in Chennai, New Delhi, Srinagar, Shillong, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Gandhinagar, Kangra, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Jodhpur, Kannur, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Patna and Raebareli.
Counselling Procedure
The counselling procedure of NIFT 2020 is going to commence from the month of June 2020. In order to take part in the counselling procedure, the candidates need to register themselves online first. The candidates who have common merit rank are going to be eligible for NIFT counselling rounds. Candidates will have to download their call letter online for the GD and PI Interview rounds. They can get it by entering their credentials such as application number, date of birth and roll number. At last document, verification will be held by the authorities where essential documents of candidates will be verified.
