JEECUP 2020: UP Polytechnic Exam Dates, Admit Card, Pattern

The Examination of JEECUP has been conducted by Joint Entrance Examination Council every year. UPBTE is the main conducting authority that not only regulates but also supervises this exam. This Entrance Examination is very crucial for those students who want to get admission to the Polytechnics / Institutes affiliated to Board of Technical Education, U.P.  It is a qualifying entrance examination that is held for providing admission to different Diplomas/ITI programs that have been offered at several Polytechnic and ITI institutions that are located in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

JEECUP 2020: Application Form

The Application form is made available from 1st January 2020 till 21st June 2020 through online mode. The form was released at the official site where candidates were asked to fill all the personal and educational information correctly. The important required documents were also asked to be attached in the JPG/ JPEG format. At last, the candidates were asked to pay some fee after which the application and registration process would be completed.

Eligibility Criteria  

In order to qualify the Eligibility Criteria of JEECUP 2020, the candidates must have passed 10th and 12th class examination from any recognized board or university. The applicant must be holding domicile certificate of Uttar Pradesh. Applying candidates should have passed the examination with the subjects of Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. Coming to the age limit of the candidates, they must have completed 14 years as on 1st July 2020.

Exam Pattern

JEECUP 2020 is going to be held in an offline pen or in other words in paper-based. The exam is scheduled to be held in two shifts. The shifts will be of morning shift from 9.00 am to 12.00 (for Group A) and the second shift will be of the afternoon which will start from 2.30 to 5.30 (for Group B to K). The question paper will be of objective type in which the candidate will get four options and the candidates have to mark only the correct response. “Group A” includes the candidates appearing for Engineering Polytechnic Diploma whereas “Group B” is of various Diploma Courses.

Syllabus

JEECUP 2020 Syllabus is going to be based on UP Secondary Board Syllabus and will include topics from the syllabus of classes up to Class 10th. In addition, it will also consist of Higher Senior Secondary & Senior Secondary Syllabus of 11th & 12th standard.  JEECUP 2020 examination will test the basic knowledge of the applicant in the subjects such as Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Agriculture, Biology, Fashion Designing, among many. It will also test candidate’s Reasoning, Analytical Skills, General Intelligence and so on.

Preparation Tips

Solve previous years’ sample papers in order to check your preparation which will enhance your confidence along with that you will also understand the pattern of the examination and the types of questions that are asked in the entrance exam. Cover the entire syllabus by making small notes from each topic. Make a proper schedule for your studies that you would have to follow wholeheartedly.

Answer Key

After the examination will be held successfully, the authority is going to release the JEECUP 2020 answer key as well so that candidates can check their performance that they did in the examination. With the help of the answer key, candidates can make a guess about their marks that they might get in the result. However, if they have any concern or objection regarding any question then they can also raise the objection on that. For this, the candidate will be required to pay some amount of fee but if your objection will turn out to be correct then you can get back that amount.

Cut-Off Marks

If the candidates want to succeed in the examination, then they need to qualify JEECUP 2020 Cut-Off Marks which is mainly the qualifying marks that every candidate need to obtain in order to crack the examination. If candidate’s marks are less than the prearranged JEECUP 2020 Cut-Off Marks then they would be able to crack the exam, however, if they score equal or more than that then they will succeed in the examination. The cut-off marks will be released soon after the examination is conducted.

Application Fee

The application fee for JEECUP 2020 is different for various categories, like for the General/ OBC category for Rs. 300/- perform + bank charges for SC/ST category, the fee will be Rs. 200/- perform + bank charges. Candidates have to pay the fee through online mode such as via Netbanking, Credit card, Debit card, etc.

Admit Card

The admit card for the entrance test is going to be released 8 to 10 days before the date of examination. Candidates can check and download their admit card through online mode on the official site by entering the credentials to login. Candidate must bring their admit card and ID proof to the examination centre as it is compulsory.

Result Announcement

The result of JEECUP 2020 is going to be declared by the conducting authority of the examination after the entrance test will be held. All the candidates who have appeared in the exam must check their result in September 2020. The authority is going to announce the result only through online mode at the official online portal. Based on the performance of candidates and the marks secured by the applicants, the authority will prepare the merit list.

Counselling Procedure

After the result announcement, the qualified candidates will be called for the counselling process. JEECUP 2020 counselling procedure is going to begin in the month of October 2020. In this process, the selected candidates will have to make the choice and have to select the courses and colleges according to their preferences. There will be Rs. 200 as a counselling fee that the candidates have to pay after that the seat will be allotted based on the choices & seat availability.
