IPU CET 2020: Application Form, Exam Dates, Patern & Syllabus

The Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test (IPU CET) 2020 is a university level examination which is conducted by Indraprastha University. This entrance test is being held for selecting the eligible candidate for the admissions in several programmes offered by the university. The candidates who will qualify the exam will be eligible to get admissions in various engineering, law, management, medical, dental and so many other offered courses by the university. IPU CET 2020: Application Form

The application form of IPU CET 2020 Application Form has been released on the official site from 3rd March 2020 for various courses. Candidates were asked to fill in the correct details in the application form, however, in case of any mistake done, a correction window will be opened for the candidates from 1st to 3rd August 2020. In order to apply for more than one course, candidates have to submit separate application forms.

Eligibility Criteria

The entrance test of IPU CET is conducted for getting admission in UG and PG programs. Therefore, the eligibility criteria differ for each program. On the other hand, there are some basic eligibility conditions that need to be fulfilled by the candidates before applying for this entrance examination. The nationality of the candidate should be Indian and their minimum qualification (for UG course) should be 10+2 board examination or equivalent exam from a recognized university. For PG course, the minimum qualification should be Graduation. There’s also an age limit for applying, the age should not be more than 21 years or less than 18 years.

Exam Pattern

The exam pattern for each program is going to be different so the candidates should prepare accordingly. Here is the common exam pattern of IPU CET 2020 Exam:

Syllabus

Preparation Tips

First, candidates should make sure to go through their complete syllabus and try not to miss out any topic. For any hard topic, they must create short shorts with keywords to make it a bit easier. Candidates must attend the mock test and should also solve sample papers and question papers from previous years. By this way, they can improve their question-solving speed along with analysing their preparation.

Answer Key

Candidates can check the correct answers of all the questions that were asked in the question paper with the help of IPU CET 2020 answer key. Through this, candidates can analyse their performance in the examination and can also make a probable guess of their scores. The answer key will be released online by the authorities after the completion of the exam.

Cut-Off Marks

The cut off marks of IPU CET is going to be prepared based on the availability of seats, the number of candidates as well as the number of seats available. In order to get admission to their desired program and college, candidates have to score equal or more than the IPU CET Cutoff otherwise they won’t get qualified.

Application Fee

The application fee for all the category candidates is going to be Rs.1200 and it will be applied for each programme offered by the university. Students are asked to pay their application fee at the time of the registration process through online modes such as by debit/credit card or net banking method.

Admit Card

The admit card of IPU CET 2020 is going to be released online by the GGSIPU just a few days before the exam date. Candidates have to visit the official website of IPU CET 2020 and for successful login, they need to enter their correct credentials such as application number and password. After that, they can have access to their admit card which they need to download and take a printout of it so that they can carry it on the day of examination. Result Announcement

The GGSIPU is responsible for announcing IPU CET 2020 result after the examination is conducted successfully. The result will include candidate’s overall and sectional marks, roll number and ranks among many important details. The result will be available online so candidates must save it as it will be required at the time of the counselling process.

Counselling Process

The counselling process is held every year through both online and offline both modes. For the B.Tech course, counselling will be conducted through online mode from September 2020 for 2020 session. Candidates are asked to register themselves for IPU CET 2020 Counselling through the website for the online mode. After that, candidates will be asked to select the choices of their preferred colleges and courses for admission. On the other hand, candidates for offline mode, have to report to the prearranged venue along with the required documents as well as with their counselling fees. Seats are going to be allotted to candidates based on the marks that they have secured in the entrance exam, category, selected choices as well as seat availability.
