AILET 2020: Admit Card, Exam Dates, Pattern & Syllabus

All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is conducted once a year by the National Law University Delhi (NLU Delhi). This entrance test is conducted for the candidates who want to get admission in undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) as well as doctorate (PhD) level law programmes and courses. AILET 2020: Application Form

The Application form of AILET 2020 was released online on 15th January 2020 and the last date for applying was on 11th July 2020. Candidates were asked to register themselves by filling the application form online where their personal and education information was asked. Candidates were also asked to attach their photograph and signature to the form otherwise their form will not be accepted. The payment was allowed to make through online or offline mode. After the successful payment for AILET 2020, the concerned authority will send a confirmation email to the candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to apply for AILET 2020, candidates must go through eligibility criteria. For BA LL.B (Hons.), the applicant must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board or university with minimum 50% marks in 12th standard. Also, the candidates who are still in 12th standard and are going to appear for the exam in March/April 2020 will be eligible for applying. For LL. M, Candidates must have completed LL. B or any equivalent law degree has done from a recognized university with minimum 55 per cent marks in their degree.

Exam Pattern

The AILET entrance test is conducted to test the candidate’s aptitude as well as reasoning abilities. It will include a total number of five sections such as Verbal Ability, Mathematics, Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge, as well as Legal Aptitude. Every question in the exam paper will carry one mark individually and for each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks are going to be subtracted.

Admit Card

The university will issue AILET 2020 admit card to the applicants who are going to appear in the examination. Only those candidates will be accessed to their admit card who have successfully registered for the entrance test before the last date of application submission. It is compulsory for each candidate to carry the admit card on the day of examination as it includes all the major details regarding the candidate and the exam details such as date, time, centre etc. It also includes the photograph and signature of the respective candidate so that the invigilator can verify the applicant’s identity through admit card.

Result

The university is all set to be declared the AILET results within a few months as soon as the exam will be conducted. The result will be released online and the candidates can check it by entering their login credential to the official online portal. The scorecard of the candidates participated in the examination is going to include All India Rank, sectional scores, along with the overall scores of the students.

Counselling

The university is going to conduct the counselling of those candidates who will qualify the result and the cut-off marks. Based on the rank list and candidates’ eligibility for the law course, they are looking for to get admission in, the seat will be allotted to them. In the end, the documents of each selected candidate will be verified.
